We have plans for ourselves.

But sometimes the universe has a different plan for us.

Sometimes we think what we want is the right thing, but when it doesn’t happen…we get disappointed.

I used to get mad when I’m disappointed.

Especially because I almost always get what I want (not from a spoiled child perspective). I’m usually in alignment with what the universe wants for me.

And when that doesn’t happen, I start asking questions like, “Why do I have this desire?”

James Wedmore says this a lot: “You either get the result you want or the lesson you need.”

If life has given you a desire and an expectation, and then that expectation isn’t met for whatever reason, rather than disappointment, our job is to look at it and say, “What’s the lesson here?”

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your questions.

This is how I learned to sit and try to let go when disappointment comes.

In today’s episode of The Best Of The Menopause Movement Podcast, I take you back to one of the first episodes I released as I talked about handling disappointments.
